I have never been very good at styling myself. I tend to be the kind of person to just find a few comfortable items and keep them on rotation. Aesthetics are an afterthought.
But I figured it was high time I started to put more effort into my leather now that I am getting involved with the London leathermen.
So I set myself a challenge; Make a look based on the leather boy flag.
The leather boy flag is a variant on the classic leather pride flag that was first created by Keith Pollanen and presented at mid-Atlantic leather 1998.
Its design draws from the hanky code, using hunter green, which was used to denote daddy/boy dynamics. It also utilizes the left and right signalling from the hanky code. The red heart has been moved to the left to denote the more submissive position, and the bands slant down right to left, to show a boy’s position relative to Sir/Daddy/Dom.
I heavily identify as a Boy in the leather scene, so I figured it would be good to show off my pride of that fact.
